Foundation for Shamanic Studies Two-Week Intensive in Advanced Shamanic Healing
Taught by Nan Moss and David Corbin
assisted by Elaine Egidio
Originated and directed by Michael Harner, this annual residential program in advanced core shamanism is described by former participants as "transformative," "life-changing," and "the most important spiritual experience of my life." A variety of advanced methods are practiced in this residential program, including extraction healing, soul retrieval, psychopomp work, divination, and work with the spirits of nature. There will also be work that is not included in FSS weekend workshops, such as selected advanced healing methods, the dream dance, explorations, and initiatory experiences. (This program does not duplicate Three-Year Program material nor include Shamanic Counseling Training.)
Prerequisite: the FSS Basic Workshop. Applicants who complete this Two-Week Intensive Course in Advanced Core Shamanism and Shamanic Healing will receive special consideration when applying for Three-Year Programs in Advanced Shamanism and Shamanic Healing. They will also receive preferential enrollment in courses in the new Indigenous Shamansims track.
Location: The program will be held at Seven Oaks Pathwork Center in Madison Virginia. The beauty and healing energy of the land at Sevenoaks is a powerful environment for the work. 130 acres of bountiful woodlands, meadows, and gardens provides peace, serenity, and an opportunity to connect with nature. There are hiking trails on the land including the scenic walk down to the Rapidan River. At least 70 species of birds and abundant wildlife make Sevenoaks their home during the year. Healthy and delicious meals of fish, chicken, and vegetarian entrees are accompanied by homemade breads, soups and desserts.
